what payment methods do you accept?

We accept payments via EFT.  Please note that orders will automatically be cancelled if payment, or proof of payment, is not received within 24 hours

what are your shipping methods?

The Scriptorium ships all across South Africa!  During lockdown, we are shipping all orders out every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

is there a max. / min. limit to my order?

No, there isn't!  You can order as much or as little as you like.  You will not be charged extra for orders that may result in a heavier parcel or an additional courier bag. 

 All our gel pens are black gel ink.  The Mermaid Ballpoint Pens are blue ink.

what size lead do your mechanical pencils use?

All our pencils use 0.5mm lead.

The length of our washi tapes vary, though they are typically between 3m - 7m. A short description can be found under each tape which will let you know the exact length.  If you're still unsure, please do reach out to us and we can clarify for you!

when will something be back in stock?

As a small store, restocking depends on the popularity and ready availability of the particular product.  Here at The Scriptorium, stock quantity is limited and we prioritise constantly bringing you new and exciting stationery items.  So, unless noted on the product page, once an item sells out it will most likely not return to the website.  If you are interested in a particular item please do reach out and we can let you know the future of that product in our store. 

do you offer bulk/wholesale?

No, as a small online store we don't. 

can i arrange for my order to be a gift for someone else?

Yes, of course!  We include a personalised name tag and thank you message on each parcel of stationery goodies we send out, but we are more than happy to change that message to one of a birthday/holiday wish and make the name tag out to whoever you're gifting! Just send us a message when you're placing the order and we'll make sure to customise the parcel tag!
